3 Weeks Old Already

Hey everyone! Chastin is doing great and is growing so fast. He has found his fingers and likes to put them his mouth. He also likes feeling Dad's whiskers with his hands. He has a pretty funny expression when he touches them. We are getting 2 1/2 to 3 hour stretches where he sleeps at night and Christine and I hope it continues. Christmas at the Garcia house was pretty mellow but still unforgettable. This latest picture is what Chastin does best...sleep! We hope you all had a great holiday.

Okay, my baby talk instincts have officially kicked in! I almost thought about doing this over but Chastin had his eyes open and it was too good not to post. Hey, I'm a new daddy so it's cool.

Home Sweet Home

Chastin is doing great but Christine and I are not getting a lot of sleep...I'm happy he is though!


I took these pictures right before we left the hospital for home. Home has been good and we are definitly getting used to a new schedule.



Chastin had his first checkup with our pediatrician and everything looks great!



Thanks for all the calls, emails, and well wishes. I'm working on a new video for everyone to check out. Check back in a couple days for the world premiere. Here's to a good night sleep... heh heh

Chastin's First Day 12-7-09

We had a great first day! Christine and I even had a nap. Lots of thanks for all the well wishes. We love you all and are so grateful to have all of you in our lives. Chastin finally opened his eyes for a while tonight and wanted to say hi...

Meet Chastin

4:35AM December 6th

Chastin Christopher Garcia was born at 3:31am and he's a perfectly healthy baby boy. 7 lbs 12 oz's -- 20 1/2 inches long. Christine had an amazing birth and labored over 24 hours. We are doing great. Pictures coming soon.

12:00 AM Update

Still going strong. Our doc is great! Sticking with us until Chastin is born. Christine just got a popsicle and I got some gourmet coffee from the dr's lounge. We have our second wind. December 6th is defiantly the day!

11:20 Update

Doc just came in and got things going. 5cm dilated and 2 minutes apart. Christine is doing great.

10:15 PM Update

No changes. I keep wondering when something will happen. Irregular contractions. But Christine is feeling the pressure from the baby. This has been one long day/night. We need to stay strong and save energy for the delivery. Will it come soon? I think December 5th would be a great birthday. But we are getting close to the sixth. Keep us in your thoughts.

8:20 Update

Things are starting to pick up. Christine is feeling the contractions now. Not too painful though. We are tired and it's been a long day. I think I need some McDonalds. (Not by Choice)

6:00 PM Update

Still slow going. Hope things pickup soon.

2:00 PM Update

We're hanging in there. The contraction times vary and we've been doing some laps around the hospital. Christine is doing great!

7:00 AM Update

Christine and I are at the hospital. Her water broke at 2:45 a.m. So far so good but I think we have some time before Chastin is born. Contractions are 8 minutes apart. We just got through with all the paper work and the nurse just checked out Christine. Keep checking back for updates :)

Baby Watch 2009

We are officially on baby watch and our doctor told us to be ready!. We will keep you posted! Christine is in her 38th week.
