June 2nd 1:30 PM
Day seven, the contractions have slowed way down. Chastin visited today and he was happy to see his mommy. Christine is hanging in there. I can't imagine being cooped up in a hospital bed for this long. The hard part is not knowing how long she will be there. It could be days or weeks. I heard that full term for twins is 36 weeks. I'm thankful for blogging because it allows me to keep everyone in the loop and also gives us something to look back on.
Hi everyone, got a call from Christine at 6:30 am saying contractions were starting up and were painful and 4-5 minutes apart. By the time I got to the hospital the nurse had given Christine a medication that slowed them down. Most of the day has been quiet. Around 5:30 the contractions started up again. 10 minutes apart and painful. Our doc has Christine on a new drug. It's is a little stronger and lasts longer. Tomorrow night Christine has been there a week.
I just realized I was off by a day or so with my blog titles...So I reordered my past few entries. We should be good now. Today is Tuesday May 31st. Christine is toughing out a long stay in the beautiful and luxurious women's center at Northside Hospital. (5 Days and Counting) She is 33 weeks today and there has been discussion of inducing labor if she makes it to 34 weeks. The docs are now backing off on that. The babies are healthy and Christine's water is holding up so why rush it. The longer they can stay in the better. Plus it will shorten their stay in the NICU. We appreciate all the calls and visits and the help with Chastin. I am back at work this week...but I can be at the hospital in 10 minutes. I'm visiting my sweetie -- every night. Chastin and I miss her at home. More later.
